My mother would always wait until we got home from the KH. See, most of my spankings were for misbehaiving there. LOL. She stopped when I was around 10 or 11 when she realized that I was putting on all of my underwear for padding.

As far as escaping the Dubs is concerned you really dont have to move far. A simple move across town and a little facial hair was all it took for me to become a total strainger, a worldly man that has never heard of the "truth".

Now I do think about picking up and leaving all the time when it comes to my job. I think I'd like to go south, somewhere a little more warmer in the fall and winter months. Although with a wife and three kids it's not as easy as that.

You are correct Frog. The LDS also share the belief of an eternal life on paradise earth for a certain class of believers. Similar to JWs. I had a couple of LDS elders stop by my door a few months ago and asked them a bunch of questions. Sorry, I cant remember all the details though.

Disturbing Information Passed on in Annual Elders Meeting?

as you all may know, the elders around america have had (or will have) their annual meetings.

you know, the ones where they are trained and brought up to date about the whole scheme of things.. anyway, an elder who i happen to be close to was telling me yesterday that some troubling/disturbing things has been going down in congregations worldwide.

he also mentioned that it will be mentioned in watchtowers and km's in the next few months.. anyone know what he may be talking about?

The first thought that came to my mind was a major technology crack down, especially on computer / Internte use. However after reading everyone's posts, I think that it will probably be more of the same old rhetoric. Nothing new.
